Yesterday we learnt how to write resumes! This is very different from how I have previously written resumes. I wanted to share my key learning from the workshop for others…

DUTIES TELL ACCOMPLISHMENTS SELL! Do not list a range of duties under each position. Instead talk about measurable results and accomplishments. 

So how do you write accomplishment statements? 

To create a strong measurable result, try this format:

[Action verb] [Brief explanation of accomplishment] resulting in [quantifiable outcome]

Example: Effectively responded to an average of 203 customer service emails per week, improving response time by 74% resulting in an increase
in customer satisfaction by 31% between 2016 to 2017.

Using %, $ will draw the eye and make an impact!

I believe this is going to make my resume so much more impactful to employers.
