- Be sure to save your work often.
- The ‘ribbon’ is another name for the task bar at the top of each program.
- Send emails to yourself first so you can proofread and see what it will look like.
- Never spray cleaner directly on your computer screen. Spray on a soft cloth and then wipe the screen to clean it.
- Be sure to put your USB drive in the right way…don’t push if it won’t insert easily.
- Be sure to close all programs and power off your computer at the end of the day.
- Save your work in the Your Documents folder rather than on the desktop. Storing items on desktop uses a lot of storage/memory.
- Update your computer software when updates are suggested. This will help your computer run faster.
- Uninstall unnecessary programs or applications to free up memory.
- Choose a strong password and change it regularly to help keep your information secure.
