I needed to know that just because I may see or do things differently from others, it does not mean I am wrong. It is okay not to think the same way as everyone else; after all, I am an individual with my own way of relating to others, absorbing information, making decisions, and viewing the world.   Now that I am okay with me, I need to be okay with others and their differences as well.  To be able to work collaboratively with co-workers, I also need to recognize that I may have to support other people’s perspectives, and I can do that without losing my own!  It may not be as natural as using my instincts, but I can do it!  This does not mean I am wrong; I am making an effort to view the situation as others do, so I can better understand and be a part of the team.
