During our mock interview workshop I realized that the interview is for both employer and prospective employee. Besides the list of questions that are generally asked, the interviewer is looking to see how I present myself, my level of confidence and my relevant skills. This is also an opportunity for me, the interviewee to do my own review of the company I am interviewing with. Think of this: are the employees in the office friendly, is the shop area kept tidy, was the interviewer fully engaged with me or distracted with other events. Is this a culture I can see myself happy in? I should be thinking about the environment and if I can work comfortably within it. Just because I am offered a job, does not mean I have to take it. Is this the one, or should I continue my job search for a position I am excited about going to everyday.
