It is easy to get stuck in a rut while looking for employment.  You send out your usual resume and cover letter and then sit back and wait for the call that may or may not come.  You might find yourself job searching from your couch and becoming easily distracted by other activities going on around you.  It can be hard to break away from your routine and become completely engaged in finding a job. Your attitude needs to change! The Experience Counts program was suggested to me and I decided to give it a try.  Getting up and out of the house regularly to attend the workshops helped me to feel better about myself. I found the workshops surrounded me with like-minded people and as a group, we pushed forward and supported each other.  By becoming involved in this program I did far more than get out of a rut, I changed my perspective on job-searching from hopeless to hopeful and met a lot of great people along the way.
